Although, Hotel Suites are very attractive and aesthetically pleasing, it is worth considering their efficiency before placing them in your city. As rent can only be collected once every 2.1 days and it only reaps 231 coins, it technically returns about 4.6 coins per hour which is very small compared to some of the other houses. As a point of reference, for example, Upscale Condos return 52 coins per hour and Colonial Chalets return 19.75. Also consider that two, 3x3 housing items can fit in the place of one, 3x6 Hotel Suites.
Some players choose to leave building Hotel Suites until they have reached a high enough level and are not concerned with the coin return from housing buildings anymore due to much more profitable businesses. If you choose to maximize your decoration bonuses for your housing, Hotel Suites can receive a larger bonus than 4x4 residences. For this reason, you should be able to collect more rent from a Hotel Suite, surrounded by dercorations, with one energy than many other resudences.
The Hotel Suites and Sprawling Mansions both signal a new level of extravagance in housing prior to skyscrapers and condos, and players with a lot of coins available may wish to place some as a sign of their wealth and success in the game.
