Farming is one of the categories of the Build Menu. Farming with crops produces goods which are used to supply businesses. Shipping is another way to gain goods. Storage buildings hold the goods.
You must first have a Farm Plot in order to plant crops.

Crops will wither after double the time it took them to grow. So Eggplant, a 1 hour crop, will wither 2 hours after being fully grown (3 hours after planting). The only crop that does not wither is Strawberry and Instant Growth cash crops.
