The Eternal Fountain is a 2x2 decoration available for a limited time in CityVille. It was released on October 5th, 2011 and ended on October 7th at 11:59 PM PDT. It came back on sale several times.
If this decoration is placed in a city, the ships and crops will never wither. Cargo planes should be safe. It is unknown if the effect applies green houses. According to Zynga it will not unwither the Super Pier.
It will only work on the city it's placed in. So if placed in your main city, it will not help your Downtown.
It is the most expensive Cash item. It is sent back to your inventory when removed.
