Collectibles are items in CityVille which are part of collections and are obtained through these methods:

• Collecting from housing, businesses and attractions.
• Harvesting crops.
• Capturing bandits, which only contribute to two collections.
• Posting on the wishlist, which can later be granted by neighbors if he/she has one in his/her Collections.
• Opening a Mystery Gift.
• Clicking on a neighbor's train wall post/game notification.

A collection can be traded in when it is completed with 1 of each collectible and will earn the given reward. Any collectible cannot be removed/sold, but can only be transferred/sent to a neighbor if the latter shares his wishlist containing the respective collectible.

Chance

The chance of acquiring each collectible varies from 3% (most collectibles) to 100% (Henchmen, Super Villains, and Doggie Rescue collectibles).

Collectibles with a drop rate other than 3%, include:

• Fried Tomatoes in the Tomato Collection has a 20% drop rate.
• Danish in the Just Desserts Collection has a 13% drop rate.
• The following have a 5% drop rate:
  • Comic Books and Toy Robot from the Game Collection,
  • Soda from the Fast Food Collection,
  • Bacon and Eggs And Toast in the Comfort Food Collection, and
  • Hot Dog in the Silver Screen Collection.
• Each of the Go Kart Collection items has a 10% drop rate.
• Each of the Henchmen Collection and Super Villains Collection items has a 100% drop rate.
• Each of the Doggie Rescue Collection items has a 100% drop rate when rescuing a Doggie and a 20% drop rate when collecting rent from The Dog House.
• Each of the Horse Racing Collection items has a 20% drop rate.
• Each of the Honeymoon Hotel Collection items have a 20% drop rate.

Note: Collectibles are dropped purely based on chance and not based on presence of existing collectibles.
