The Platform Bridge is a decoration available in CityVille. It is a structure that takes citizens to the beach in CityVille. It was announced by Zynga around March and was released 9th June 2011. Players got a free expansion if the build area was outside their city limits. The level two Platform Bridge allows you to increase population Avg +25 / Collect for -5 energy, the level three Platform Bridge allows you to increase population Avg +50 / Collect for -4 energy and the level 4 Platform Bridge allows you to increase population Avg +75 / Collect for -3 energy.
Placement[]
The bridge may only be placed at designated locations along the riverbank. The primary location is aligned with the end of the original road which passes through new cityville cities.
It is as yet unknown whether additional bridge placement locations will become available in the future.

Before spending energy on your Bridge construction, you need to gather:

Edgar on Helicopter
On 19 May 2011 a helicopter appeared near the river that separates the city from the town beach. The helicopter has since moved to be over the river. Hanging from the helicopter is Edgar looking through a pair of binoculars. If you click on the helicopter you can read the following message:
| “ | This land looks ripe for development! All we need is a bridge ... increase population to 5,000 to be prepared. | ” |

On 2 June 2011 Edgar has moved to the other side near the beach area with construction workers to start the build and now says:
| “ | Get ready to start construction on the bridge - we're almost prepared to break ground! Once you reach 5,000 population, you'll need to prepare to gather materials for our biggest project yet! | ” |
After bridge completion
Once the bridge is complete, Edgar is again teasing you with further expansions and opportunities.
| “ | We're going to be rich and friends will come from everywhere visit! This real estate is perfect for your hotel and eventually and entire resort. It's going to be a very fun and busy summer! | ” |
